A CO2 supply you can rely on

When your CO2 supply is at risk, where it comes from matters.

With fresh concerns about UK CO2 availability this summer, food and drink businesses are once again asking hard questions about supply chain resilience.

We produce 30 tonnes of certified food-grade liquid CO2 every day of the year, captured directly from our own anaerobic digestion plant in Hampshire and delivered in our own tankers.

Because the CO2 is drawn from crops grown on our own and neighbouring farms, it is a genuinely circular process, rather than a fossil fuel by-product, with none of the import dependency that leaves so many businesses exposed when global supply chains come under pressure. It is also part of a broader story, as biogas has a real role to play in decarbonising UK energy and opening up new markets for farmers.

We were there for customers during the 2021 shortage, and we’re here now, the only UK company to hold BRCGS certification for liquid CO2.

Every batch is tested before it leaves the farm by our automated Uni Sensor Carboscan and onsite sensory laboratory running 24 hours a day, seven days a week, guaranteeing a purity of 99.90%. We also hold ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accreditations.

For procurement teams tired of managing CO2 supply risk, Apsley Farms offers a transparent supply chain, a lower-carbon source, and the kind of delivery reliability that comes from doing everything in-house.
